Rembert Niebel is a partner at Baker & McKenzie in Frankfurt. He has 20 years’ professional experience in intellectual property law, with his main focus being on trademarks, designs, unfair competition, and trade secrets. He also has extensive litigation experience.

As co-author he has contributed his in-depth knowledge to different books. For example, “Handbuch der Markenpraxis”, covering securitization agreements, licensing agreements, and trademarks in mergers and acquisitions.

Niebel is member of various associations: International Trademark Association (INTA), European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA), Pharmaceutical Trade Marks Group (PTMG), and German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property & Copyright (GRUR). Besides, he serves as board member of the Frankfurt Law Society. As associate professor, he regularly teaches classes in trademark and unfair competition law at Frankfurt University.

Rembert Niebel holds a Master of Laws from Columbia University Law School (USA) and a PhD in law from Jena University (Germany).
